Dr. Kaper Performs Live Total Knee Replacement Surgery at AIIMS

This August, Dr. Kaper performed live surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) for the Current Concepts in Arthroplasty 2017 event hosted in India.

Professor Randeep Guleria, Professor Rajesh Malhotra, and Professor Vijay Kumar at AIIMS invited Dr. Kaper to be one of eight distinguished international surgeons to perform revolutionary skills utilizing robotic tools such as the NAVIO system. Surgeons were selected for their specialized technological techniques that provides their patient with prosthetic joints with greater accuracy, precision, and efficiency. The goal of this robotic-assisted surgical technique is to improve the outcomes with the goal to extend the longevity of knee replacements. After the successful total knee replacement surgery Dr. Kaper educated young professionals on the value of NAVIO Robotics and Verilast Technologies. The systems offer unparalleled benefits to the medical community which was one of the many focuses of the event.

Dr. Kaper’s Robotic Total Knee Replacement surgery took place on August 12th in which he successfully replaced a patient’s damaged knee during a live demonstration.
