Dr. Kaper is one of the premier orthopedic surgeons in Arizona and the Southwest for hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery. He has been in private practice in Arizona since 1999- having performed more than 14,000 surgeries.
Dr. Kaper combines minimally invasive muscle sparing techniques with the most up-to-date technology for both hip and knee replacement surgeries to help patients quickly return to a full and active lifestyle.. This includes the Direct Anterior (DA) approach for hip replacement and the sub-vastus, quadricep-sparing approach for knee replacement. Since 2016, all total knee replacements have been performed with the most advanced robotic technology with the CORI robotic system..
Dr. Kaper is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (www.abos.org) and fellowship-trained in adult reconstructive surgery, specifically joint replacement surgery. He serves as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Chief of the Orthopaedic Surgery section at HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center, in Scottsdale. His clinics serve both the Scottsdale/Phoenix metropolitan area and Yavapai County at two conveniently located offices.
As a recognition of his contributions to the evolving field of robotic knee surgery, Dr. Kaper was recently chosen as one of the Top Knee Replacement Surgeons in United States.
